Get to the answer. Keep the clarity.

Explore 350 working calculators for math, money, health, dates, conversions, and practical decisions. Enter your values, read the formula and explanation, and share a link to the same calculation.

Choose a calculator you can check

A useful calculation begins with the right question. Are you finding a total, a rate, a difference, or the amount needed to reach a target? ReadyCalcs groups tools by task so you can pick the relationship that matches your problem. Each working calculator names its inputs and units, shows a formula and a worked example, and explains what the result does and does not describe.

Start with the measurements you actually have. If a field asks for kilometers, convert miles before entering a distance. If it asks for an annual rate, check whether your source gives a nominal or effective rate. After calculating, change one input to see how sensitive the answer is. Keep the assumptions with the number when you use it elsewhere.

Percentages and everyday math

Find a share of a total, compare old and new values, reverse a percentage, or work with ratios. Choose percentage change when you have a starting and ending value; choose percentage-point difference when you are comparing two rates already expressed as percentages.

Try percentage change

Loans, savings, and prices

Estimate a monthly loan payment, model compound growth, or check the effect of a discount. Read the rate period and payment timing before interpreting the answer. A mathematical projection is an estimate under entered assumptions, not a lender quote or guaranteed investment outcome.

Health and fitness estimates

Explore adult BMI, waist-to-height ratio, energy estimates, and exercise pace with the population and measurement limits stated on each page. These numbers can help describe a scenario, but an individual health decision needs appropriate professional context and reliable measurements.

Unit conversions

Convert length, area, volume, weight, temperature, speed, and other measurements. Check both the source and destination units before copying a result. Conversions preserve the measured quantity; rounding only changes how many digits you display.

Convert kilometers to miles

Dates and durations

Count days between calendar dates, calculate completed months, or turn hours and minutes into another duration. Date questions depend on whether the starting day is included and whether weekends or holidays count. Read the convention beside the selected tool.

Count days between dates

Geometry and materials

Calculate areas, perimeters, volumes, and material quantities from measured dimensions. For a project estimate, first check the shape and units; then allow separately for cuts, waste, surface texture, and the package sizes actually sold.

Estimate paint required

Travel and transport

Compare trip fuel cost, energy for an EV charging session, or distance at an assumed average speed. Consumption and price must use matching units. Traffic, detours, charging fees, and driving conditions can move the real total away from a simple estimate.

Recipes and food quantities

Scale ingredient amounts to a different serving count or compare cooked and raw weights. A ratio can scale grams, but oven time, pan size, moisture loss, and seasoning may need their own adjustment when a batch changes substantially.

Common questions, worked through

Compare a change

A value rises from 80 to 100. How large is the change?

The difference is 20. Divide it by the original 80, then multiply by 100: the increase is 25%. Using 100 as the denominator would answer a different question. This is why the original value field matters.

Calculate percentage change

Estimate a payment

What is the modeled payment on a 250,000 loan at 5% for 30 years?

With equal monthly payments and a fixed rate divided into monthly periods, the calculator gives about 1,342.05 per month. That is principal and interest in the formula; fees, insurance, and taxes need separate attention when comparing real offers.

Check the loan formula

Plan a material quantity

How much paint covers 40 square meters with two coats at 10 square meters per liter per coat?

Multiply the area by two coats and divide by coverage: 40 × 2 ÷ 10 = 8 liters. That is the ideal quantity for the stated coverage. Texture, loss, and the size of available paint containers may change the purchase amount.

Estimate paint liters

How to read a calculator result

Check the unit and the base

A percentage always has a base, and a rate always has a period or quantity underneath it. Confirm whether a price is per liter, per gallon, or per item; whether a distance is in miles or kilometers; and whether a percentage applies to the original price or the discounted one.

Test another plausible input

One precise-looking number can hide a fragile assumption. Try a slightly higher interest rate, a lower coverage figure, or a different trip consumption rate. Comparing the two results helps you see which input matters and whether you need a range instead of a single answer.

Read the result label

Interest earned is not the same as future balance; tax amount is not the same as final price; elapsed days are not automatically business days. The label, formula, and example on a calculator page tell you exactly which quantity was computed.

Share the assumptions with the answer

The Share result link includes the calculator and the entered values, so another person can reopen the same calculation. The values are visible to anyone who receives the link. Avoid putting private financial, health, or personal information into a link you plan to share.

Questions about ReadyCalcs

Which calculator should I use?

Search for the quantity you need, then compare the input labels and formula with the facts you have. For example, use percentage change for an old and new value, and use a percentage-of-a-number tool when you already know the percentage and base amount.

Why might my result differ from a bill, statement, or another calculator?

The inputs or conventions may differ. Real documents can include fees, taxes, rounding at each step, changing rates, or rules that a short formula does not model. Match the units and base amounts first, then read the assumptions and exclusions on the calculator page.

Can I share a calculation with its values filled in?

Yes. Use Share result on a calculator page to make a link containing the current inputs. Opening it restores the values and recalculates the answer. A recipient can use the link when they can reach the ReadyCalcs site, and anyone with the link can see its input values.

Are health and money results suitable for a final decision?

Treat them as transparent estimates for the assumptions entered. A health equation does not measure or diagnose an individual, and a finance formula does not include every contract term or future event. Check important decisions against current records and a qualified source.
